Angeline Jacobson was appointed to the Luther faculty in 1951, and served as Reference Librarian until her retirement in 1976. She worked in both Koren and Preus Libraries during her career. Professor Jacobson’s research interests, which focused on Native Americans, included numerous research trips when she collected Native American art and artifacts. In 1977, she compiled “Contemporary Native American Literature: A Selected and Partially Annotated Bibliography,” published by Scarecrow Press. Jacobson received a BA from St. Olaf College in 1931, and the BALS and MALS from the University of Michigan in 1950. Professor Jacobson is currently a resident of Aase Haugen Homes, Decorah, IA
