Library professional staff meeting 10-6-08

LIBRARY PROFESSIONAL STAFF MEETING

October 6, 2008, 9:15 a.m., Hovde

Present: Chris, Andi, Ryan, John, Jane, Lindy, Germano, Rebecca, Rachel.

All the librarians gave individual reports regarding (a) orientations to the new Library Research website for departments and (b) library instruction, past, present and future. Are having good results for the most part.

Andi then discussed the Paideia I Open Unit and the Spring Research Unit. Research dates are February 16-March 6. Reviewed her notes with the group and will report back on the writer’s committee meeting.

Jane passed out a handout regarding assignments for the 2008-09 MUSTY Project.

John handed out the budget updates as of Oct. 6. Noted the Paideia budget with a reminder to be on the lookout for materials needed for this area. Germano will be bringing the CHOICE reference cards to next week’s meeting.

Jane asked for reactions received from faculty regarding the new Library Research website. This will be discussed again at next week’s meeting.
