GusDay 2009 – Augsburg will be the host for GusDay 2009 and it will most likely be held in the first half of January. No details available yet.
Staff Roll – New images are being deployed with the current staff roll that include Adobe Reader 9, Oracle Calendar version 9, and other enhancements. Schedule of those upgraded this fall can be found at http://helpdesk.luther.edu/go/office.
HMS Upgrade – Scheduled by App Dev for Monday, October 20th, and will include upgrading to a Vista compatible version.
KATIE – The scheduled changes for KATIE took longer than expected and some courses were made invisible to students during that time. Reports to the Help Desk were handled as they occurred. To read about the changes, see http://lis.luther.edu/blog/20081001/upcoming-changes-katie
Printing Docx Files – If having trouble printing a docx file (Office 2007 Word Document), try installing new printer drivers that understand the new Calibri font, changing the font, printing to pdf, or printing a selection of the document.
Laptops – Many walk-ins are bringing in laptops to the Help Desk. Research how other schools handle this type of business to determine whether there is a more efficient way for us.
iTunesU – Meeting held Monday morning. Ready to begin generating content.
