LIBRARY PROFESSIONAL STAFF MEETING

December 1, 2008, 9:15 a.m., Hovde

Present: Chris, Andi, Ryan, John, Jane, Lindy, Germano, Rebecca, Rachel.

Rebecca announced the dates for the workshops for Paideia faculty during J-term. They are January 13th, 15th, and 20th from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the Round Table Room. Discussed what would be covered at these workshops.

Jane reviewed and led the discussion on the “Template for Department Self-study”. She will send out another copy of this adding the suggestions which were made.

Andi gave out a handout titled “Proposed Catalog Language for LIST Internships, 1 December 2008”. She will send out an updated revision of this.

Jane returned to further discussion of the template self-study.

John has received the renewal notice for NAXOS. It is more economical to go through BCR. A jazz database is being offered for a small additional fee. It was decided to go ahead with this.
