Library Research Help Available Online

The library has collected a number of tools which introduce the research process and provide help in using common library tools. These tools are now conveniently found in the “Library Research Help” block on all http://lis.luther.edu/research pages.

Tools include:

• Research 101 – An interactive tutorial covering the basics of research: how to select a topic; develop research questions; search and find sources; evaluate information.
• Library How-Tos – Step-by-step instructions on searching Encore and Magnus, citing sources, finding journal articles, etc.
• Ask A Librarian – Send an online question to the librarian specializing in your area of study, or ask a general question for the reference librarian on duty.
