Library professional staff meeting 4-6-09

LIBRARY PROFESSIONAL STAFF MEETING

April 6, 2009, 9:15 a.m., Hovde

Present: Ryan, John, Jane, Germano, Rebecca, Rachel.

Jane gave an update on the Library’s 40th anniversary celebration, which will be during homecoming. She also spoke on advising with a short discussion following.

Jane spoke on plans for National Library Week, April 13-17th, and our book sale.

Rebecca presented two software requests, Lightwave (additional licenses) and Zbrush. Both were approved to purchase.

Jane led discussion on the Diversity in Hiring Guidelines. A college diversity liaison will be hired. She then gave a short report from the Campus Sign Committee, which is progressing towards completion.

Germano presented the summer work schedule for all to mark times absent and when available to work. Get this information back to him by the next meeting, which will be April 20th.

Jane opened discussion on lib-guides/lib-data. Ryan gave a demo showing how these would/could work.
