The June instance of “Special Topics for Instructional Technologists and Their Colleagues” is now open for registration.
= Introduction to Issues of ADA Standards and Classroom Design =
For instructional technologists and others who provide direct support and assistance to faculty members in using technology in teaching and learning, instructional technology managers, and interested others. This session will introduce the key components of the Americans with Disabilities Act Guidelines (AADAG) standards as related to classroom technologies, including assistive listening devices and podium design, and common pitfalls to avoid in classroom design and implementation. The presentation will also offer some straightforward tips and suggestions to share with faculty and others on your campus to make presentations and the use of classroom technology more universally accessible.
