Library professional staff meeting 5-4-09

LIBRARY PROFESSIONAL STAFF MEETING

May 4, 2009, 9:15 a.m., Hovde

Present: Chris, Ryan, John, Jane, Lindy, Germano, Rebecca.

John and Ryan led a review of the electronic resources we currently subscribe to. All participated in which to continue or discontinue subscribing. Three will be discontinued. The list will be reviewed again, as needed, in the fall.

Jane said an official report is needed from the Library on an evaluation of the Paideia research paper unit. Different aspects were discussed. Germano will do the report.

The librarians met last Friday concerning the Service Points Taskforce report. This may be reviewed at the Taskforce meeting on Wednesday.

Jane asked for reactions to the e-mail regarding cleaning up the basement this summer. Each will take responsibility for various areas.

Lindy presented further information on the journal request for Animal Cognition. All agreed to subscribing to this with the subscription to begin 2010.

Jane proposed we discontinue being open two evenings a week during the summer due to lack of usage. All agreed.

Chris will be sending a memo to all concerning annual reports.

We will meet on Friday, May 8th, to discuss MISO survey results as pertain to the Library.
