= Geospatial Technologies in the Liberal Arts =
The planners for “Geospatial Technologies in the Liberal Arts” invite participants to submit proposals for presentations and/or workshops. The conference, organized by and for GIS professionals in the NITLE Network, will take place September 25 – 27, 2009, at Skidmore College (Saratoga Springs, NY). Through mutual support, participants can develop their expertise as geospatial practitioners and, as a community, move beyond basic software usage to focus on pedagogical goals and learning outcomes.
At the conference, GIS technologists, laboratory managers, librarians, faculty members, and others engaged in supporting and managing geospatial technologies will share best practices for GIS administration and use while considering the complementary role of modern web-mapping applications and server-based technologies for map and data delivery.
