User Services Meeting - 6/23/09

Present: Matt H, Matt B, Lynnette, Bob E, Bob P, Larry, Todd, Matt H, Diane

• Help Desk Training – The topics planned for the August training sessions to be held for the help desk student workers were shared. If anyone has subjects they would like covered, let Matt Hughes know.

• Katie – Details for upgrades were shared and include: 1) Different gradebook will be installed Thursday morning, 2) SSL Sign-on planned for Sunday, 3) Archiving of old courses in a couple of weeks.

• Faculty Roll Update – The roll is going well and nearly done; only a few Windows machines and a couple of Macs left to upgrade. Also discussed gator usage, psychology lab, and Ghost licenses / potential upgrade.

• Track-it Update – Will be upgrading to version 8.5 (not version 9). Target is early August. More information will be available mid July.

• InfoComm 2009 – Bob E shared more information regarding the InfoComm 2009 conference he recently attended. Impact of increasing use and production of video content on the Internet was discussed.
