Colleague Studio: Programming Fundamentals Training
I spent last week in Chicago at Saint Xavier University for Datatel training. I took part in “Colleague Studio: Programming Fundamentals.” During the course of the week I worked through the creation of a User Interface (UI) form in Colleague Studio. I created my own custom entity for use with my UI form. The instructor of the course also offered two extra sessions before class two of the days. During these extra sessions I was shown the basics of web form creation and computed column creation using Colleague Studio. In both class and the extra sessions I was shown ways of researching information to assist in form or computed column creation. I also became more familiar with troubleshooting techniques in Datatel. The opportunity to work through the UI form creation from start to finish filled me with more knowledge about how Datatel functions. I am looking forward to transferring this knowledge to the work I do at Luther.
