User Services Meeting - 8/4/09

• Staff Appreciation Day – Wednesday, August 12th.
• Schedules – Reviewed who’s in/out during August.
• TrackIt – Shared feedback from the weekend’s upgrade and next steps for TrackIt which include the implementation of Self Service for the Luther community this fall.
• Cable chain key locks – Decided to purchase cable chain key locks for labs with LCD monitors.
• Recycling Day – We’re creating a list of all copiers, printers, faxes and anything that can produce an image to be recycled this fall.
• Move-in Day – Those willing to help on Saturday or Sunday, August 29th/30th, contact Matt H.
• Service Points – Help Desk Call Center nearly completed and new library lab space nearly ready.
• GoPrint – Review http://lis.luther.edu/goprint and let Matt H know of any additional questions to be addressed on this page. Planning to go live with student printing through GoPrint before classes begin this fall.
• Lab Imaging – The Windows lab upgrades and reimaging is essentially done. The Windows podiums and Mac labs are in progress.
• Valders 117 – Work has begun in Valders 117 and will finish the week of August 24th.
• CFL Recital Hall – New projection system is being installed this week.
• Objectives for 09-10 – Reviewed User Service objectives in preparation for addition to the Annual Report.
