Library professional staff meeting 9-7-09

LIBRARY PROFESSIONAL STAFF MEETING

September 7, 2009, 9:15 a.m., Hovde

Present: Chris, Andi, Ryan, John, Jane, Lindy, Germano, Rebecca, Rachel.

Jane reported on the grade analysis from Dean Craft.

John spoke on the print periodical reviews. Asked all to participate in this. He is creating a database. Would like to have this completed by fall break.

John had a request involving paying extra for obtaining articles from searchable databases. After discussion it was decided no action was necessary as there were other ways to get such material.

Germano gave an update on the Research Help/Technology Help schedule. He also gave an update on the fall Paideia library instruction unit and requested that all fill in the information on the documents pertaining to this.

Jane gave an update on the Preus Library 40th anniversary celebration. Things are moving right along. She also gave an update on the new interior library signs.

Jane reminded all regarding registrations and hotel reservations for the upcoming ILA meeting next month.
