LIS to Deploy GoPrint Print Management Client with KACE KBOX

In the upcoming weeks, LIS will be deploying the GoPrint Print Management Client to all faculty/staff Windows based workstations across campus via the KACE KBOX. This process is done remotely and runs in the background. A user will not notice an interruption and no interaction is required on their part. Once deployed to a user’s machine, the GoPrint icon will appear in their system tray. The application will lay dormant until LIS enables GoPrint on their department’s respective printers. LIS will contact all departments before enabling GoPrint. The KACE KBOX is a recently acquired systems management appliance that allows more efficient management of tasks including OS updates, software distribution, and systems deployment.
