New Book for Special Collections

A new significant artists’ book by Christine Kermaire of Belgium has been cataloged for Special Collections in Preus Library. It consists of a textile panel (42 × 62 cm.) with 2 grommets at the top for hanging and velcro strips at the bottom. It includes four 22 × 31 cm. laminated cards (description of cemetery, layout of cemetery, two pictures of shadow of monuments on grass in cemetery) with velcro tabs at the top so that they may be hung from the bottom of the textile panel. The book is an homage to the World War II cemeteries for veterans which are so prominent throughout the Belgian countryside.
