Response: “Dozens of outlets were installed along the exterior walls on the lower and upper floors of the library over the past few months. Check Out the Most Current Change in Circulation Policy

This week’s Suggestion of the Week appearing on the LIS digital sign in the library :

Suggestion: “Increase checkout time for items.”

Response: “Loan periods vary depending on the type of material (book, DVD, camera, study room key, etc.), location (main stacks, leisure reading, reserve desk, etc.), and patron status (student, faculty, community borrower, etc.). Rationales exist for each different “loan rule,” which governs the length of the checkout period. Recently, we lengthened the checkout period for student laptop use in the library from 2 to 4 hours.
