This Week in LIS - 25 September 2009

Headline of the Week: Into Each Life a Little Rain Must Fall

Be still sad heart and cease repining;
Behind the clouds the sun is shining,
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life a little rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.

   — (Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)

Round Table Room Management Moves to LIS

This fall, administrative management of the Round Table Room will move to LIS. This has formerly been coordinated out of the President’s Office by Karen Martin-Schramm. LIS has already partnered to provide technical support for the room, and recently Rebecca Sullivan and Diane Gossman have received facilitator training. The room coordinator Ann Mansfield will continue to provide assistance with outside groups using the space. LIS will continue supporting other needs for the facility as they arise.

Library Facility Update - 9/23 - 5:30pm

We are awaiting delivery of power cables to connect a generator to the building wiring to temporarily power the library. Provided cables are delivered and installed on time, we will attempt to open the facility at 7:00pm this evening.

A temporary transformer has also been located and will be delivered to campus very soon. Our time on the generator should therefore be relatively short.

We will update with additional information as it is available.
