LIS is implementing Google Apps for Education at Luther under the name Norse Apps. This online productivity suite includes Luther-branded versions of Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Talk, Google Documents, Google Sites, and iGoogle (Google Start Page). TRAINING
This training includes the following:
- Switch to Norse Mail during the session
- Compare the new mail interface to Thunderbird
- See the benefits of mail including conversations, integration, and speed
- Use Norse Calendar to create events
- Share calendars with anyone (and everyone)
- Compare the calendar to Oracle Calendar
- Review the other components of Norse Apps including Chat, Documents, Sites, and the Start Page
