The New Encyclopaedia Britannica is a comprehensive English language encyclopedia. The 32 volumes are divided into 2 main sections, Micropaedia (ready reference, v. 1-12), and Macropaedia (knowledge in depth, v. 13-29). Volume 30, the outline of knowledge, is called Propaedia. The extensive index is found in volumes 31 and 32.
