Office 2008 for the Mac is the latest version of Microsoft's Office suite of products for the Mac, which consists of a number of productivity applications. The most popular applications in the Office suites are Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Microsoft Office 2008 upgrades will be gradually phased in during normal computer replacement cycles. Office 2008 will replace Office 2004 on your next Macintosh computer. See http://helpdesk.luther.edu/go/office for more information.

The training will cover the following:
* New Features of Office 2008 for the Mac, focusing on MS Word
* PowerPoint Enhancements
* Excel 2008 Tips and Tricks

In order to have hands-on access to a product so that you can experience it yourself, with the guidance of an instructor, skills training is available. The instructor will provide materials so you can follow along and try the exercises yourself. There will also be some time for you to experiment on your own. These sessions are 50-60 minutes in length.

More information on upcoming training and instruction is available at http://lis.luther.edu/learn.
