Facilitator: Diane Gossman
Location: Olin 301 – Round Table Room

This LIS training covers the Mail component of Norse Apps. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.

  • The training will walk you through how to use the Gmail web interface to access your mail.
  • Additional features of Norse Mail will be shared such as canned responses (i.e. templates), pop-out windows, labels, adding contacts, and creating calendar events from email
  • We’ll talk about the advantages of the web interface over other mail clients such as Thunderbird including conversations, integration, and speed. You are able to use either interface to access your Norse Mail.

In order to have hands-on access to a product so that you can experience it yourself, with the guidance of an instructor, skills training is available. The instructor will provide materials so you can follow along and try the exercises yourself. There will also be some time for you to experiment on your own. These sessions are 50-60 minutes in length.
