Oracle/Norse Calendar for Development

Facilitator: Diane Gossman
Location: Olin 301 – Round Table Room

The Norse Calendar is now the primary campus calendar (replacing Oracle Calendar) as of Jan. 1, 2009. This is a campus-wide calendar (available to all faculty, staff, and students) so the more who use the calendar, the more useful it is for the Luther community.

LIS cannot transfer information from Oracle Calendar into Norse Calendar. However, it is possible for you to export your Oracle Calendar meetings for historical purposes.

This workshop has been scheduled by the request of the Development Office to assist in exporting information and also reviewing features of the new Norse Calendar.

You can also export on your own; see http://helpdesk.luther.edu/go/norsecal for details.

Note that Oracle Calendar is going away and will not be available after Friday, Feb. 6. If you want your Oracle Calendar meeting information exported, you must export it yourself before that date. Events for Jan. 1, 2009 and beyond are to be entered directly into the Norse Calendar and NOT into Oracle Calendar.

You may have worked with a product previously and have questions, or perhaps you’re seeing it for the first time and want to jump right in and experiment with a product. Workshops provide the opportunity to use a product among colleagues, with a trainer available to answer any questions you ask and provide support.

More information on upcoming training and instruction is available at http://lis.luther.edu/learn.
