This LIS training shares tips and tricks for using the Norse Apps suite in the classroom, including the following:
- Display your office hours and class schedule online (Norse Calendar)
- Gather input from your students using a web form with the data automatically going into a spreadsheet for you (Norse Docs)
- Encourage group projects in which students can edit documents together, even at the same time (Norse Docs)
- Create a presentation and give it anywhere, regardless of platform (Mac/PC) or software versions (Norse Docs)
- Communicate with your colleagues and administrative assistant more easily (Norse Chat)
Faculty Development Teaching and Technology sessions highlight internet resources and software with potential as pedagogical tools. Each session features one or two faculty members who demonstrate how they have used a particular resource in their teaching. Though designed with faculty in mind, these sessions are open to all.
