How to enable international language support in Windows XP.

  1. Click on Start -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Settings.
  2. Click Languages and under Text Services and Input languages, click Details.
  3. Click Add and select the language you want.
  4. Click OK and then Apply.

Windows XP will now recognize International characters. An alternative option is to use Extended ASCII Characters. More information can be found here
