Luther provides a number of opportunities to support students in research and scholarship, including collaborative work with faculty, honors courses, senior honors projects, participation in regional and national collegiate consortia, and scholarship advising. Associate Dean Terry Sparkes will talk about these programs and how faculty can work with students to explore these opportunities and access funding support for their projects.
The New Faculty Teaching Group is open to all faculty in their first year of teaching at Luther College. The group gathers every other week to discuss pedagogical approaches, share our experiences in the classroom, explore the connection between teaching and scholarship, and learn about campus resources in support of teaching and learning.
Information on other upcoming faculty development opportunities is available at http://lis.luther.edu/learn/schedule.
