Data Backups

Backing up data on a regular basis is the responsibility of every employee.  With advances in technology and reduced cost in storage media, the process has become easier and faster than ever before.  LIS recommends that you backup your computer at least once every month.

TRAINING			We will discuss why to backup, what to backup, and the various media that are available. Then we will walk through how to backup your data to CD-RW and restore files from the CD-RW.
WORKSHOP			Faculty and staff can bring specific questions regarding data backups to this workshop and spend time practicing backing up data.
