LIS Event Support Request

The LIS Technology Help Desk maintains an inventory of equipment that is available for short term loans (i.e. less than 2 weeks) and will instruct individuals who are requesting equipment on setup and use. Items are picked up and returned to the Circulation Desk.

The Help Desk requests five (5) working days notice for requests due to finite resources and time for training. Last minute requests or changes cannot be guaranteed.

All users agree to abide by the Equipment Loan Agreement and the Audio Visual and Event Guidelines. For a list of available items, click here

To ensure a successful event, please consider the following:

  • Include each item needed, one at a time.
  • Describe the nature of the event throughly.
  • Communicate with any guests to find out what they may need or what they intend to bring.
  • If a computer is used or requested, specify Mac or PC.

The expectation is that equipment will be available for requester to pick up at the LIS Technology Help Desk. It is the user’s responsibility to setup and test the equipment prior to the event. If Help Desk setup has been requested, standard setup will be done half an hour prior to the start of the event. All personnel expecting to use the equipment should be present at that time.

Location where the equipment will be used and/or setup. This does not mean that LIS will deliver the equipment, but rather where it will be used. Include Building and Room when possible.

Describe equipment needed.
Laptops, LCD, Screens, TV, Speakers, etc.

Describe any special instructions that should be taken into consideration (i.e. – Using a Mac with an LCD Projector may require an adapter, Extension Cord may be necessary, Wireless Internet access is needed, etc)

All users must agree to the Equipment Loan Agreement in order to check out any items.
