Introduction to Sage - An Open Source Computer Algebra System

Sage is an open source alternative to commercial applications such as Maple and Mathematica. Luther mathematics department member Richard Bernatz will conduct the session. The session is open to Luther faculty and students. Participants will be introduced to the basics of worksheet use and manipulation as well introductory function methods such as plotting, solving, root-finding, differentiation, and integration.
