The Norse Calendar is the primary campus calendar as of January 1, 2009. In this session, we will use Norse Calendar to create events and share calendars with anyone (and everyone). The focus of the presentation will be on features that have become available during the past year and techniques to save you time.

Norse Apps in the Classroom

This LIS training shares tips and tricks for using the Norse Apps suite in the classroom, including the following:

  • Display your office hours and class schedule online (Norse Calendar)
  • Gather input from your students using a web form with the data automatically going into a spreadsheet for you (Norse Docs)
  • Encourage group projects in which students can edit documents together, even at the same time (Norse Docs)
  • Create a presentation and give it anywhere, regardless of platform (Mac/PC) or softwa

Oracle/Norse Calendar for Development

Facilitator: Diane Gossman
Location: Olin 301 – Round Table Room

The Norse Calendar is now the primary campus calendar (replacing Oracle Calendar) as of Jan. 1, 2009. This is a campus-wide calendar (available to all faculty, staff, and students) so the more who use the calendar, the more useful it is for the Luther community.

LIS cannot transfer information from Oracle Calendar into Norse Calendar. However, it is possible for you to export your Oracle Calendar meetings for historical purposes.
