It is obvious that the world we live in is interdisciplinary—or, more accurately, nondisciplinary. Why then are our attempts to understand the world primarily discipline-focused? While disciplines are powerful, they often lead to constraining ways of knowing, discouraging inquiries and explanations that span disciplinary boundaries. Interdisciplinary teaching can provide a bridge for overcoming disciplinary isolation. What, however, is interdisciplinary teaching?

Two faculty from Luther’s Nursing facility in Rochester will be joined by the Academic Technology Librarian to bring the most up-to-date essentials on how to make KATIE’s Lesson module work for you. Additionally, KATIE Forums best practices and anecdotal experience will be discussed.
