Computers will be upgraded to Windows Vista for those receiving new hardware and Windows XP otherwise. Microsoft Office 2007 will be installed on all new/upgraded computers. No Norse Key password change occurs during this workflow. Training will be provided for departments on Office 2007 and Vista.

Print/Copy Update

Tuesday through Thursday of this week, Michael Hartz and members of his team visited many locations on campus to verify computers were using printspooler.luther.edu and were not printing through direct IP addresses. This effort takes Luther one step closer to being able to track printing by customer. They worked on computers in the following offices: President’s Office, Admissions, Publications, Campus House, International Student Office, Health Services, LIS, SASC, Registrar’s Office and Development.

Norse Mail Import - New & Improved!

You can now import a group from a csv file into your Norse Mail Contacts and the people will be added – regardless of whether or not they are already a contact for you in Norse Mail.

Previously, if you imported a group, only the people that were not already contacts were imported and the others had to be manually added to the group.
