Financial Services Datatel maintenance on Wednesday, September 17th

The Datatel system will not be available from midnight until 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17th. After the nightly backup, Financial Services will be running the year-end processes that require a quiet system. My.luther, Safari, Colleague, and Benefactor will not be available during this time.

A message will be sent to the Datatel User listserv when the financial work is completed.

New Registration Clearance screen for my.luther.edu

We have just added a new web screen to the my.luther.edu web site. This screen will allow students to view information about the next semester’s registration before registration begins. The web screen will show any restrictions on the student’s record that will prevent him/her from registering for classes for the next semester. It is up to the student to clear up these restrictions before they will be allowed to register. The web screen will also show the student the date and time when they can register for classes, as well as their current advisor and major.

Financial Aid Award Letters available on My Luther

In May, we added a new function to the my.luther.edu web site that allows students to view their financial aid award letter for the current academic year. Students had previously obtained this information from the Iowa Student Loan web site, but ISLLC discontinued this service this year.

We are just completing additional testing that will allow students to view financial aid award letters for prior years, as well as displaying any financial aid that may have been awarded to students for J-Term and summer sessions.
