This LIS training shares tips and tricks for using the Norse Apps suite in the classroom, including the following:

• Display your office hours and class schedule online (Norse Calendar)
• Gather input from your students using a web form with the data automatically going into a spreadsheet for you (Norse Docs)
• Encourage group projects in which students can edit documents together, even at the same time (Norse Docs)
• Create a presentation and give it anywhere, regardless of platform (Mac/PC) or softwa

LIS is implementing Google Apps for Education at Luther under the name Norse Apps. This online productivity suite includes Luther-branded versions of Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Talk, Google Documents, Google Sites and iGoogle (Google Start Page). All faculty and staff are to move to Norse Apps by December 31, 2008.
