NITLE Event for Instructional Technologists

On June 2nd-4th, I attended a NITLE event for Instructional Technologists. The conference gave me a chance to interact with peers from 37 liberal arts colleges. Our first task was to try to define the professional identity of instructional technologists. These engaging discussions gave me a better sense of the priorities and organizational structures that drive academic technology at other institutions.

Regents Center Network

Power has been restored to our network closet near Rm 218. This restores network service to the offices in that area of the building and those off the front lobby area of the building. We also now have power to our switches located in what has been called the rock room (but must need a new name since it has a new cement floor now). That restores network service to the training room and laundry room areas of the building.

Network service to the rest of the building and the legends center remains off.

Update 6/13/08: All network service in the Regents Center is now functional.
